Azhar Hussain

My Manifesto;

My name is Azhar Hussain, and I am running to be your next full time officer.I am studying at GCU London right now, but I'll be accessible to both campuses at all times.I'll come to Glasgow if pupils require my assistance. As students living and studying in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, we face unique challenges — from high living costs to transport expenses, housing shortages, and access to mental health support. I am standing to ensure that the voices of GCU  students are not only heard but acted upon.

Living in UK should be empowering, not overwhelming. As your  Officer, my mission is to make our university a place where every student can thrive, belong, and succeed. I will work to strengthen connections between universities, campaign for fairer living conditions, and create more opportunities for students to engage with world  diverse communities.

My key priorities:
Affordable living: advocate for lower student rent, transport discounts, and fairer financial support for those studying in GCU.
Student wellbeing: push for accessible mental health services and safe spaces across all campuses.
Cultural Festivals in Campus:Cultural festivals should be held on campus because they promote diversity and inclusion by allowing students from different backgrounds to share their traditions and values. These events enhance student engagement, provide a platform to showcase creativity and talent, and help develop teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
I believe leadership means listening, collaborating, and delivering real results. With your support, I will be a strong voice for every GCU student,ensuring that our needs, ideas, and ambitions shape the future of our universities and our city.
Together, let’s make GCU a better place to live, learn, and lead.
