My Manifesto

I am Wilfred Obi current VP of the student association, vying for the position of GCUSA President for 2024/2025 Session.

Achievement as VP

As a team, we achieved the following;

Microwave on campus 
Student pantry for students
Hot water on campus
Winter warmer campaign in London
Festival of culture  
Price of drinks and food slashed within the campus
Engaged with Director of London campus to give GCU London students enhanced experience

Priorities

Lobby to create more study rooms on Campus.
Engage with the management to invest more on better Wi-Fi connectivity.
Lobby to make upper floors of the library accessible to only GCU students.
Engage with the university to ensure that toilets are clean at all times.
Lobby to slash gym cost so as to provide better student wellbeing and general fitness.
Push to make GCU learn more student Friendly and clearer information on assessment.
Lobby for continuation of the student pantry in Glasgow and work towards starting one at London campus.
Push for the continuation of winter warmer campaign in London campus.
Lobby for easy access to accommodation for both Glasgow and London campus.
Engage with the university to slash the price of Laundry services in the Caledonian court.
Lobby for greener, sustainable and eco-friendly campus in both Glasgow and London.
Push to extend canteen and reunion bar closing time.
Lobby for diversity in catering menu.
Push for more funding for sport activities.
Lobby to make the reunion bar friendlier by creating live sport viewing, Dart board and other board games.
I will push for continued protection and support for disabled, care experienced and LGBT+ students.

I will work for the interest of all students in the University for the common good.
