STUDENT LEADERS PROGRAMME (SLP)

What is SLP?

Exclusive to GCU Students and developed in partnership with the Social Enterprise Academy (Scotland), the Student Leaders Programme is a series of free workshops designed to help identify and develop your leadership skills. By attending, these workshops will enable you to:

  • Develop as a leader
  • Build your confidence
  • Improve employability prospects

How do I complete it?

SLP is customisable and flexible around your studies… it only has two main elements to complete, takes less than four hours, and can be done at your own pace!

  1. Complete the Exploring My Leadership module
  2. Complete a Skills Workshop (either a Live Trainer or Self-Guided)
  3. (optional): Complete an Evaluation of the programme

What is the Skills 4.0 Framework and why is it important?

The Skills 4.0 Framework says that Scotland’s workforce needs to constantly develop skills, knowledge and capabilities to thrive in this complex and ever-changing environment. So we have designed this programme around these competencies or 'meta-skills' that employers are seeking and so will boost your future employability.

Who can join our programme?

It is open to any GCU student, whether you study on the Glasgow or London Campus.
