My Manifesto

My name is Solomon Ajala, a former MSc Marketing Student. I have decided to run as a Full Time Officer role as I understand our plights having been through a lot myself, hence a major reason I am seeking to make the desired change. I possess the requisite knowledge and skills to ensure the best at all time for GCU Students.

  • I will take the forefront in all issues that affect students directly or indirectly as regards their mental well-being. Everyone deserves to be heard.
  • Unifying the student community irrespective of tribe, race, colour and religion shall be my priority having made significant and verifiable contributions to the lives of many students to date.
  • Work, Life balance is also a key aspect I will focus on considering how difficult it is to settle down into a new environment, especially as an international student.
  • Proper representation by the Association shall be made for Students who have suspected cases of Plagiarism as this continued to be on the rise.
  • Ensuring a seamless accommodation hunt by closely working with the accommodation support unit and private accommodation providers to make Students a top priority. In addition, free legal advisory services for council tax exemption purposes shall be made available.
  • I will run an all-inclusive Association with other Officers to ensure Student's voices are heard and concerns fully dealt with in accordance with the dictates of the University while protecting students’ interest
  • Representing the interest of over 20,000 students and with more students set to join means a lot and as such, I will ensure an open door policy where students can freely call me at any time to ensure their interests are of utmost importance.

Please note the Individual and Team Objectives have not yet been set for the Full Time Officers.
