Election Complaints

We're committed to ensuring our elections are conducted fairly and in accordance with our established procedures. If you believe there has been a breach of our election rules, we encourage you to raise your concerns.

Before Submitting a Complaint

All elections are governed by our Election Rules and Election Schedule.

We strongly recommend reviewing these documents before raising a concern.

If you're unsure whether a particular action constitutes a rule breach, you're welcome to have a confidential conversation with the Deputy Returning Officer before submitting a complaint.

How Complaints Are Processed

Complaints are triaged based on their potential impact on the election. Matters affecting the integrity of the election are prioritised.

Where rule-breaking is found, any penalties applied will be proportionate to the impact on the election and voters.

Some matters may be referred to Students' Association or University disciplinary procedures where appropriate.

Declaration & Data Protection

By submitting this complaint, you declare that the information and evidence provided are true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Your complaint and supporting evidence may be shared with relevant parties as necessary to process the complaint.
