Do you have to submit coursework and assignments online AND on paper?
Do you have to travel into university just to hand in paper assignments?
Do you think we should just Click It to Submit It?
We want the university to move to online submission for ALL coursework and assignments at GCU. Not only would it reduce the amount of paper printed on campus, it would also reduce our carbon emissions by not having to travel into university just to hand in coursework you've already submitted.
We mananged to get 215 signatures from GCU students across the three main academic schools and looking at your comments there is an appetite for change!
We discussed this campaign with the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Valerie Webster and she has officially endorsed our campaign:
"This campaign is a great example of the GCU community working together with the common goal of driving forward innovation and enhancement to provide an excellent student experience, whilst doing our bit to lessen our collective impact on the natural world."
We are now looking to approach teaching staff in GCU to get a commitment from programme leaders to take the steps needed to move coursework, wherever possible, to be submitted online. We will update you all as and when this happens.
Check out our round up video of the campaign so far.
