Volunteering

The Students' Association offers a wide variety of volunteering opportunities and most require no previous experience as training and support are provided.

For more information please read our Volunteering: Opportunites Prospectus and Guide. It explains the roles on offer and how to get involved, as well as some case studies of students who have volunteered before.

Your volunteering experience is really important to the Students' Association, there is a Volunteer Agreement that outlines what you can expect from us and what we expect from you, and a Volunteer Policy that details all aspects of volunteering with us. Our STAR Awards or Sports Awards helps recognise all the hard work of our volunteers.

If you have any queries and questions about volunteering, please use the relevant contacts in the handbook below or if you have a general question please email us: hello@GCUstudents.co.uk.

Leadership Pipeline

The following diagram shows all the different ways you can volunteer within the Students' Association. Through volunteering you will learn and develop your leadership skills and employability. Any student can be supported in progressing their leadership through our Student Leaders Programme. As you develop your leadership skills you may wish to consider being a candidate in our Full Time Officer Elections

All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.
This membership is free for current GCU students.
