We are aware that some students may find Freshers’ Fair overwhelming. This year we are introducing a quiet hour, which we hope will make the event more inclusive and open to everyone. During this hour, music will be switched off and we will be asking people to be mindful of our aim to create a calm and welcoming space. The quiet hour will be on Tuesday 17th September from 10-11am as this is generally the time with lowest footfall and therefore less congestion and noise.
The National Autistic Society will have a stall at both days over the Freshers’ Fair to raise awareness of what makes a more autism-friendly environment. #GCUAutismFriendly
Please email to tell us about any accessibility needs you have and how we could support you at our Freshers' Week events freshers@GCUstudents.co.uk.
