Registering with a doctor (GP) and other health services

It is very important that you are registered with a GP near to where you are living in Glasgow as there is no health clinic at the University.

If you are living in Caledonian Court or in the post code areas G1, G2, G3, G4, G11, G12, G21, G22, & G23 and are studying at GCU then you can register with the GP practice of Dr Rasul and Partners located at 891 Garscube Road, G20 7ER.

If you don't live in Caledonian Court or those postcodes then you can find your nearest GP surgery on the NHS Inform website by entering your postcode into the Service Directory. You can also use this to find local dentists, pharmacies and other clinics.

Free Condoms - collect from our trolley!

To collect your Free Condoms from the Advice Centre on campus just drop in and take what you need from the trolley in the Advice Centre waiting area, available Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm.

You can collect a 12 pack of condoms at a time – various sizes, types and lubricant is available.  Please just take 1 pack at a time - you can come back to get more when you need it - the trolley is not large and is re-stocked each day.  If there are none of the condoms you need when you visit please let a student adviser know.

Sexual Health Info

The main specialist sexual health service for Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the Sandyford. Please check out this website for information on the services they offer (including STI testing, contraception, emergency contraception, abortion, and a wide range of sexual and reproductive clinics).
