I am Salman, Pursuing a master’s in international economics and social justice at GCU. I’ve engaged in two international fellowships, one with Stanford University focusing on leadership and the other with KECTIL for International Leadership, I gained insights into teamwork and communication. Volunteering since 2019 with RIZQ, a social enterprise addressing hunger in Pakistan, I also served as an HR Project Manager for AFAQ News. Leveraging this experience, I aspire to contribute to the development sector, particularly in sustainable development, addressing the unique challenges faced by the youth. I would love to become a full-time officer to represent all students irrespective of race, nationality, and identity.

• Address the language barrier issues Faced by fellow international students.
• Facilitate the proper accommodation and orientation of students, especially newcomers to GCU.
• Propose the establishment of an Academic Excellence Scholarship for international students, aiming for at least one seat in each department.
• Enhance the effectiveness of SAAS for home students.
• Bringing more Sports and Societies funding.
• Establish a process of open line communication for all students with FTOs and the Student Mental Health & Wellbeing team.
• Embrace and leverage the diversity of cultures, and traditions, through momentous trips, and cultural events.
• Relentlessly represent the voice, problems, and interests of all students.
• Push for the provision of one free meal daily, not limited to breakfast, considering varied student schedules.
• Advocate for the installation of taps or hand showers in toilets, ensuring at least one floor in each building has this facility.
• Boost student employability by attracting more local recruitment from private companies through initiatives such as job fairs and expos.
