Roland Nwachukwu

My name is Roland Nwachukwu, and I am an MSc. International Banking and Finance student.  It is my pleasure to nominate myself for the role of a Student Officer, which will afford me the opportunity to render excellent service to the esteemed students of our great institution, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), the University for the Common Good.

If elected as a Student Officer, I will work in conjunction with the other Executive Committee members to initiate and execute the following programmes:

  • Welfare - Constantly engage the School’s Management on matters concerning the welfare of students such good discount scheme for canteen services, conducive learning environment, etc.
  • Cultural / Sporting Activities – Organise cultural week during which students from diverse international backgrounds will display and showcase their rich culture. There will also be inter-school sporting competitions.
  • Student Loan – Having worked in the financial sector for over a decade before enrolling into the MSc. International Banking and Finance Programme, I will leverage on my expertise to arrange with some financial institutions for provision of tuition loans to our international students.

I pledge to work tirelessly for the transformational cultural, social, and academic landscape of Glasgow Caledonian University during my tenor as a Student Officer.
