Incidents within the UK

At Glasgow Caledonian University

• If an incident occurs on campus, immediately inform a member of staff or telephone ext 2222 or 0141 273 1999 and ask for a First Aider to be contacted. They will be trained in and conversant with the relative incident procedure.
• Contact the Students’ Association as soon as possible on 0141 331 3886 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) to report the incident.Outwith office hours and in the event of a serious emergency, contact the GCU Security on 0141 331 3787 to report the incident.

At Another University/External

• If an incident occurs at another University or location, follow instructions from an official representative of that University or facility.
• Make arrangements for the group to return as appropriate.
• Contact the Students’ Association as soon as possible on 0141 331 3886 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) to report the incident. Outwith office hours and in the event of a serious emergency, contact the GCU Security on 0141 331 3787 to report the incident.

At Any Other Time

• Contact the emergency services if required.
• Make arrangements for the group to return as appropriate.
• Contact the Students’ Association as soon as possible on 0141 331 3886 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). Outwith office hours and in the event of a serious emergency, contact GCU Security on 0141 331 3787 to report the incident.

Do not make any comment to the media, should they contact you about an incident, refer them to the GCU Press Office, GCUNewsroom@gcu.ac.uk or 0141 331 3000.
