Programme Structure

How do I complete the Programme?

The programme has 3 elements to complete to gain a certificate, you will need to have completed the following tasks.

Two of the three elements are done in your own time and at your own pace.

  • Online module located on GCU Learn  (1.5 Hours)
  • Attended at least one workshop  (2 Hours)
  • Complete our Evaluation located on GCU Learn

Our Student Handbook will help you prepare for the programme and take you through reflection and action planning exercises as you progress through the programme.

The elements breakdown:

1: An interactive online module that you can work through at your own pace. The module will deepen your understanding of what it means to be a leader and how you can tap into your own leadership. You will identify the skills, knowledge and behaviours that will help you to be a great leader and make a greater impact. Self-reflection activities and questions will help you identify the leadership skills you want to develop and the workshops that might be most appropriate for you. This will assist you with your choices in Step 2.

2. A range of Skills Workshop(s) that will further develop your leadership skills and capabilities.

3: An evaluation form and further reflection and action planning activities to help you identify how you will put your learning into action. This is done on your own and at your own pace.

*Please note if you want to complete the Student Leadership Programme, you must complete the Leadership Module before attending a workshop. Once you have completed the online module you will be able to select the workshops of your choice.
