Inclusive leadership

Adrian Lui - Equality and Diversity Advisor GCU

This session aims to help Student Leaders to support a positive and inclusive working and learning environment. As the University for the Common Good, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are embedded in everything that we do. As Student Leaders, you have an important role to play in supporting our EDI commitments not just in your time here at GCU, but as future professionals and decision makers.

The online session will provide participants with a range of equality, diversity and inclusion information and awareness, as well as opportunities for discussion. The workshop will include the following topics:

  • Roles and responsibilities

  • Unconscious bias

  • Cultural awareness

  • Microaggressions

  • Focus on racism and sexual harassment

Advance Social Innovation

Rose Cawood - Social Innovation Manager

Mark Anderson - Director of Research and Innovation

Join a team specialising in social innovation to learn about the Social Innovation Spiral alongside the Design Thinking Process; and learn how to implement these processes when developing innovative ideas.

The workshop will discuss the experience that GCU has from enabling Social Innovation in other countries, locally, and within the university environment; providing useful self-assessment tools designed for social innovators.

This is a continuation from the Introduction to Social Innovation Workshop.
