Revision, studying and exams can be stressful. The key to dealing with stress is to identify that you are suffering, why, and how you can deal with this.
Exam stress can lead to several mental and physical side effects, such as tiredness and broken sleep, aching muscles, headaches and eye strain, and can even cause panic attacks.
If you are struggling with exam stress, check out our Exam Stress Handbook which outlines top tips for minimising exam stress. This booklet also covers time management, how to create a study schedule, and what to revise.
Check out our Exam Stress Padlet where you can share your top exam tips and view the tips shared by other students.
If you feel that things are becoming too much, there is a variety of support available. You can get in touch with a Student Adviser for further support and advice.
You might also want to refer to the GCU Wellbeing Team's collection of self-help resources or contact a member of the Wellbeing team if you would like to talk to someone for support - including wellbeing advisers, disability advisers, counselors and mental health advisers.
The Learning and Development Centre can help you with your revision and advice on note-taking, time management, and motivation.
If you are experiencing issues that might affect your exam performance, you can submit Fit to Sit. Contact a Student Adviser if you require support with this.
You can visit our exam stress stall at the Relax & Renew Space (Level 0, Sir Alex Ferguson Library) during the exam periods to pick up some helpful handouts and mindful colouring materials.
