I am writing to propose the establishment of a Menopause Cafe within our university community, run by our Student Association. This initiative would create a supportive and inclusive space for individuals experiencing menopause to come together, share experiences, and access resources.

Why a Menopause Cafe?

  • Menopause is a significant life transition that affects all women differently, yet it often remains a taboo topic.
  • By providing a dedicated space, we can normalize discussions around menopause and break the stigma associated with it.
  • It offers a platform for education, mutual support, and empowerment.

Benefits:

  • Promotes inclusivity and diversity within our student community.
  • Fosters a culture of understanding and empathy.
  • Empowers individuals to navigate the menopausal journey with confidence and resilience.

Thank you for considering this proposal.

Yes! The Menopause Cafe would welcome all women interested in learning about menopause, or who are in the transition (peri/post).
