So many of the staff at GCU catering are not aware of the allergens and are always hesitant to go and double check with the chef. I do not know why the food is not labelled with any of the major allergens surely this should be a priority!

There are many students who are vegan, plant-based, food intolerances or halal. Glasgow is such a diverse community and GCU should be proud of this and support them.

Totally agree. I have coeliac disease so I can’t have gluten . Due to the options I bring my lunch but occasionally if I do buy anything then it’s only a baked potato but they should really have allergen labels for everyone. And some more gluten free options (and other requirements/preferences). In the past I haven’t found the staff to be very friendly or knowledgeable when I asked about options so I gave up as it just feels awkward.

I am trying to like it, but system is not registering my vote( I also often have this problem with the canteen/bar staff, I have many intolerances and during some occasions I have been told that soup was diary and gluten free but when I came in the next time they said it has both (same type of soup btw). Actually it’s very annoying because I unfortunately got symptoms after eating food containing gluten and dairy and it’s affected my studying.
