Food in the canteen and on campus should have clear labels whether they are vege/vegan/gluten-free. Lunch time is busy as it is without having to ask staff about what food is on offer and holding up the queue.
There should be more optilns available and labelled for dietary requirements/choices.

This would really help as people can’t see if things have gluten (other than the obvious options). There should more gluten free options rather than just baked potatoes
I completely agree. The chef knows better what they cooked and sometimes the servers are not aware of it. There was an instance where I asked a server if they can ask the chef about the chicken dish cooked (that day) being halal. The server hesitated for a couple of seconds and then said Yes, it is halal. I was in doubt so after a couple of minutes, I asked another server to ask the chef and this annoyed the previous server. When the chef came out, he confirmed that the chicken cooked was indeed NOT halal that day. This is not a minor issue for people who have dietary requirements. Why can't they just put up a QR code with the correct labels so students can know before they approach the server and start asking questions while hogging the long queue behind them.
