It is really straightforward and rewarding to complete the Student Leaders Programme.

To be eligible you must be a volunteer or representative within GCU, within the Students' Association or within the local community.

On the Student Leaders Programme you will do the following:

Step 1. Attend a Core Workshop on Effective Leadership. In this Workshop you identify the skills, knowledge and behaviours that you need to be a great leader. At the workshop you will complete a short Leadership Questionnaire to help you identify the leadership skills you need to develop, this will help you with the choices in Step 2.

Step 2. Attend a Skills Workshop of your choosing to build on your leadership ability.

*Please note you must attend a Core Workshop first.  Once you have attended a Core Workshop you will be able to select a Skills Workshop of your choice.

The Student Leaders Programme is now the proud holder of the Scottish Innovation Student Awards Level 1 Accreditation! This a new awards programme run by the Scottish Institute for Enterprise in partnership with three Scottish Innovation Centres (DataLab, Digital Health and Care and CENSIS); that provides students with the opportunity to develop their innovation skills.  The programme is made up of three levels Future Thinkers, Innovation Catalysts and Innovation Champions. By taking part in the programme you can enhance your ability to stand out in the graduate recruitment market and develop future ready skills that will open up new career opportunities.

  • Creative Problem solving
