Welcome to GCU Women’s Football! 

We are recruiting new players for the upcoming season ahead! Whether you are an experienced footballer or just starting out, the committee and previous players from last season would love to have you. 

WEEKLY TRAINING SCHEDULE

 

LOCATION : THE FIRHILL COMPLEX, Hopehill road, G20 7HH

 

MONDAY EVENING

• 17.00 - 19.00

 

GAMES:

Games will be played on a Wednesday. 

Home games @ Firhill complex 

Away games at opponents ground (e.g. St Andrews, Stirling, Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh and Glasgow University)

*IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PLAYING GAMES AND JUST WANT TO TRAIN/LEARN, YOU ARE STILL WELCOME*

SOCIALS 

The social side of the team is led by our social sec - Kristina Price. We are proud to announce our sponsership of the season as Saint Judes, which is a bar/resturant/club located on 190 Bath Street. This means we have acess to private rooms, amazing deals/discounts as well as free bottles, buffets and more. It is going to be a great season for the social aspect of our team with lots of themed nights planned and activities of all sorts. Keep an eye out on our social media: @gcuwomensfc to stay updated about our weekly outings that will mostly be held on a Wednesday night.

WHEN DOES TRAINING START?

Our first training session begins on the 19th September at Firhill Complex. This will be a "come and try session", where it'll be more about getting to know you all. 

Trainings will then be weekly!

WHAT WILL I NEED?

• Water 
• FG/SG football boots (or trainers if no access to boots)
• Sports kit + weather dependant apparel

 

WHAT WILL MY MEMBERSHIP FEES PAY FOR?

Your fees will go towards financially supporting the team with kit, equipment and more.
