Description

GCU Dance is open to all ages and all abiltities of Dance! Whether you've danced since you were a tot, have no previous experience or enjoy the occassional boogie in the club!

We train on a Tuesday evening from 7.15-9.15pm in the small hall of the Arc, our univerisities on campus gym. We hold classes in Hip Hop/Commerical, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet and Tap. All classes are open to all abilities and are great fun.

GCU Dance will be competing in many different competitons this year with our competition teams. The styles are Contemporary, Jazz, and tap! Our training for the competition teams are held in the Social Space in the Student Association building on Mondays 5-8pm (Jazz, Contemporary and tap) and Thursdays in the arc main hall, 7.30-9.30pm (technique and jazz). See @gcudance on Instagram for the competition try-out dates!

Our chosen charity this year for the club is SAY women's charity who provide support to homeless, sexually abused young women, they do an excellent job at providing accomodation and support services for young women ages 16-25. They believe in a world where homelessness, sexual abuse and all forms of gender-based violence against women and girls is prevented and eradicated. We will have number of fundraisers throughout the year to support the work of SAY and raise as much money as we can for them.

Overall, GCU Dance is all about having fun, enjoying dancing and meeting new people so come along and join this crazy bunch if you love to dance and want to have a great time!
