The Student Leaders Programme is offering the opportunity for students taking part in the programme to complete a course in Scottish Mental Health First Aid.
The Scottish Mental Health First Aid course (SMHFA) is a 12-hour NHS Scotland training course, carried out over two days, on how to respond to a mental health crisis and information about the most common mental health problems.
Participants develop skills in asking appropriate questions, listening without judgment and giving guidance about where help can be found.

Scottish Mental Health First Aid Course will run over two days Monday 21st February and Monday 28st February from 9:30am to 17:00pm.
You must be available to attend both days of training in full to complete the course and receive your certificate of completion.
In order to secure your place on the Scottish Mental Health First Aid Course, we ask that you pay a £10 deposit which will be returned to you after attending both training days in full.
