Look After Your Mate

GCU Students' Association and GCU Wellbeing Team are working in partnership to deliver Look After Your Mate workshops for students who are looking to learn more about supporting others. The session gives students the skills, knowledge, and confidence to support friends, whilst also looking after your own mental health too, and more information about what support is avaliable for GCU students.

This session will cover:

  • Practical tips to support a mate
  • How to signpost to the right services
  • Setting your own boundaries

This workshop was developed by Student Minds, and students will receive a certificate on completing the course. This workshop is also recognised as an activity for the Common Good Award at GCU. You can find out more here.

This session will take place on Teams, and will run from 1pm until 3pm, with scheduled breaks throughout.
