It’s happening, it will have an impact on your life and – yes – there are actions you can take.
The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges we are currently facing, and it will affect all aspects of business and society. Consequently, graduates with know-how in tackling environmental and social issues to cope with future challenges have a competitive advantage in the job market.
Join us for a workshop to develop the skills to help tackle the climate crisis in your personal life and in your future career. Gain a certificate from The Carbon Literacy Trust that will show potential employers your ability to help them build sustainable futures.
Similar versions of this workshop are delivered as part of CPD training in industries as diverse as the BBC and private businesses and can cost in the hundreds of pounds.
The workshop will be delivered over two days. The first day focuses on developing understanding and working on individual strategies for sustainability. The second day builds on this to consider the impact your future work on climate change and how industries can make change to achieve a positive future. Individuals who complete the full suite will be able to gain an accreditation certificate from The Carbon Literacy Trust. Further, the training can help develop the skills and competency needed for the Common Good Award attribute of Active and Global Citizen.
The workshop and accredited certificate for completion are free for all GCU students. We warmly welcome students from other universities as well as GCU staff members. The workshop is free but the accredited certificate will cost £10.
