Join us this Thursday between 12-1pm online for a conversation with Zara Mohammed, an honorary graduate of GCU and an inspirational leader!
She made history by being elected as the first female, first Scot and youngest Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain and has spoken on key issues impacting British Muslims across mainstream media and publications.
This event is a conversation between Zara Mohammed and Tabitha Nyariki, GCU's wonderful EDI officer, to discuss Zara's journey, her experience overcoming barriers as a young Muslim women and how institutions can be more inclusion of our Muslim community and tackle Islamophobia. It should be a really useful event for both staff and students and there will be a chance to ask questions. November marked Islamophobia Awareness Month, but the conversation must continue past November.
