Scottish Innovation Student Awards Level 1 Accreditation

 

The Student Leaders Programme 

 

The Student Leaders Programme is now the proud holder of the Scottish Innovation Student Awards Level 1 Accreditation!

The Scottish Innovation Student Award (SISA) is a new award programme run by the Scottish Institute for Enterprise in partnership with three Scottish Innovation Centres (DataLab, Digital Health and Care and CENSIS); that provides students with the opportunity to develop their innovation skills.

The programme is made up of three levels Future Thinkers, Innovation Catalysts and Innovation Champions.  By taking part in the Level 1 Future Thinker you can enhance your ability to stand out in the graduate recruitment market and develop future ready skills that will open up new career opportunities.

Level 1 Future thinker concentrates on developing the following skills: 

  • Self-awareness and self-efficacy 
  • Adaptability, foreseeing 
  • Creative Problem solving 
  • Opportunity recognition 
  • Collaboration 
  • Communication

And you can develop all of these skills through the Development Level of Student Leaders Programme! 

By completing the Development Core Workshop, you will be eligible to receive formal recognition of completing SISA Level 1 Future Thinker.  

Once you have completed the Development Core Workshop you will receive in instructions from the Student Leaders Co-ordinator detailing how to receive formal recognition of completion of Level 1 of SISA. This require the completion of a short form detailing what you have learned through the Development Core Workshop. 
 

You can sign up to the Development Level today and start your journey towards completing SISA Level 1 Future Thinker! 

Its really straight forward to completed the Development Level all you have to do is attend a Core Workshop focused on Effective leadership, and then you choose a Skills Workshop to attend. And that’s it!

There are loads of Skills Workshops options to choose from such as how to lead a project, and how to coach and mentor team members.

We also have outside organisations and employers come in to deliver workshops, such as the Scottish Institute of Enterprise.

Some of the workshops on offer from outside organisations and employers this trimester include: 

  • Women In leadership
  • Black Minority and Ethnic Leadership
  • Ideas With Impact
  • Growth Mindset

By completing the programme you will develop your leadership ability, increase your employability for after graduation and develop the skills to complete SISA Level 1.
