GCU SA should advocate for greater flexibility in university timetabling to enhance the overall student experience. By encouraging a model that limits on-campus teaching to a maximum of three days per week and shifts some classes online where possible, students can better balance academic, personal, and work responsibilities. Greater flexibility supports mental health, reduces stress, and empowers students to take control of their learning—creating a more inclusive, balanced, and student-centred environment at GCU.
All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.
This membership is free for current GCU students.

This would be so good for nursing students.

A flexible timetable would be nice, however; For SHLS students the timetable would still need to accommodate placement dates, which typically are very rigid due to scheduling with hospitals. Additionally, switching classes online may not be a popular choice as online classes tend to have poor concentration.
Would be ideal for social work students who still have to do classes while on placement
