Description

Nigerian Students' Society is an umbrella body of all Nigerian Students and their friends in Glasgow Caledonian University. 

We run a number of events throughout the academic session such as the Nigerian Independence Day Celebration, Freshers' Welcome, Trips, Sporting activities, End of year Celebrations and a host of other events.

We also have a strong working relationship with sister organisations such as the African Caribbean Societies at both Strathclyde and Glasgow University and also part of the wider UK network of all Nigerian Students' Societies.

Feel free to join us as we are open to all GCU students (Nigerians and non-Nigerians)

Aims and objectives

1. To create an acadimic support team to assist students in various ways.

2. To create events to engage students during their time at the university. 

3. To support new students in terms of accommodation and enrolment into the university. 

4. To regularly update students on employment opportunities, graduate internship and undregraduate placement through the socirty facebook page. 

5. To foster unity amongst Nigerians at GCU and provide a forum for discussions of better academic and welfare support for Nigerians and International Students at GCU.

6.  To create a platform for a future Nigerian based GCU alumni to promote the culture of Nigerians.
