At CaledoMUN 🇺🇳🌍 (Glasgow Caledonian University, Model United Nations Society), we strive to work together and develop the following skills: 

• Encouraging critical thinking in members
• Developing effective debating skills
• Developing diplomacy skills
• Developing an appreciation of different countries and cultures 
• Expanding knowledge of international political, Environmental, social, economic issues
• Equiping members with being able to become leaders of the future and being able to propose solutions to world’s biggest problems 

We are the only politics based society at GCU and have strived for change within society and betterment of ourselves in terms of knowledge and critical thinking. We have weekly debates on various geopolitics issues around the world.

​​​​When we are not acting as Diplomats, we engage and organise cultural events and trips.

Our long-term goal is to organise a large conference at GCU, inviting public speakers, and other university delegates, where we can discuss the economic, political, social, geographical issues of the world and help to propose various solutions through dialogue and debate.  

If you are interested in expanding your knowledge, challenging your thinking, and learning new skills - you will benefit a lot from joining this society. There is no membership fee to join.
