Wise Women are hosting a women's self defence class for personal safety and tickets are free!

Wise Women address women’s fears and experiences of crime and violence through the provision of Personal Safety and Confidence Building courses and workshops in local Glasgow communities. Our courses offer support, information, education, skill sharing, awareness raising and techniques for identifying avoiding and escaping potentially dangerous situations as well as challenging damaging women blaming attitudes and building women’s confidence and self-esteem. The Personal Safety class focusses on what abilities women already have and developing new skills increases women’s sense of safety and they leave with options for making informed decisions on what can be done to remove or decrease the risk of violence and crime in their lives.This class is open to any woman regardless of age, abilities and fitness levels.
 

The class will take place on Level 0 of the Students' Association Building in the Social Learning Space NH008 at 2pm-4pm.

This is a free event, there are only 20 tickets available. Only reserve a ticket if to are going to attend. If you can no longer make it and have reserved a ticket, email holly.hunter@gcustudents.co.uk to free up your space for another student.
