Are you curious about mindfulness?
We'll introduce some simple yet powerful techniques that can be incorporated into our daily lives to help cope with stress and increase feelings of contentment.
Numerous studies have found that people with a regular mindfulness practice experience:
The group will be facilitated by members of our GCU Wellbeing Team, whom are experienced meditators and qualified mindfulness teachers.
The time will be spent doing some guided mindfulness practices together. A typical practice might involve paying attention to your breath as it flows in and out of your body. A lot of people do these practices sitting on chairs, but you can also lie down or sit in any way that suits you. No special clothing is required - wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We will be doing some gentle movement but nothing too strenuous!
