Look After Your Mate: Student Mental Health Course

GCU Students' Association and GCU Wellbeing Team are working in partnership to deliver Look After Your Mate workshops for students who are looking to learn more about supporting others.  The session gives the students the skills, knowledge, and confidence to support friends, whilst looking after your own mental health too, and more information about what support is available for GCU students.

This session will cover:

  • How to spot warning signs
  • Practical tips to support a mate
  • How to signpost to the right services
  • Setting your own boundaries

This workshop was developed by Student Minds, and students will receive a certificate on completing the course.  This workshop is also recognized as an activity for the Common Good Award at GCU.  You can find out more here

This session will take place on Teams, and will run from 10am until 1pm, with scheduled breaks throughout.

After you have booked your free ticket, you will be contacted nearer the time with the Teams link to join the session.
