Mindfulness training has been shown to help students increase their capacity for learning and obtain higher grades than students who don't practice it. Increasing our capacity for paying attention to start and complete tasks and assignments is a very useful skill that also helps to reduce stress, anxiety and the feeling of overwhelm. Come and join this introduction session, delivered by Cultivating Mindfulness, to learn more about working with our tricky and distracted minds to get the most from everyday life.
This session will involve:
- Busting mindfulness myths
- Brief explanation of what mindfulness is and how this can help students
- Mindfulness techniques you can use to enhance your quality of life
- Short foundational guided mindfulness practice
