Get registered to vote - voter registration stall
This event has expired or is no longer available.
Glasgow City Council will be running a stall in the Bistro from 11 - 2pm on where you can register to vote in this May's General Election.
Who can register? All British, Irish and most Commonwealth Citizens can vote in this May's General Election. Students from countries within the European Union will be eligible to vote in next year's Scottish Parliament elections. Full details are available from the Electoral Commission.
Not sure if you are already registered? Registering again won't do any harm and will make sure you definitely are registered.
Not decided who to vote for or whether you want to vote at all? Registering just means that you can vote - if you haven't registered before the cut off date you won't be able to vote on polling day. Even if you never vote, being on the Electoral Register improves your credit rating making it easier to take out loans and mortgages amongst other things.
All the information you need to register will be available at the stall and if you bring along your National Insurance number you will be able to register on the day.
