Hosted by the Two Roads Charity, this two-hour live online training will help you develop an understanding of how emotional resilience protects our mental wellbeing. High resilient people are far less likely to develop depression when things go wrong in their lives than people with lower levels of resilience.
Research informs us how Emotional Resilience develops and how we can learn to become more resilient. We will explore some of the life skills that highly resilient people use to thrive in life.
One of the most damaging habits we can develop is pessimism – seeing ourselves failing when there is no evidence on which to base our prediction. Pessimism is toxic to your mental wellbeing. During the programme we will explain how to neutralise your pessimistic thoughts.
The session will involve a presentation from the trainer and discussions in small breakout groups. The breakout group tasks will not involve any role play. You will be under no pressure to answer questions or participate in break out rooms if you do not feel comfortable doing so.
