During Trimester A 2024/25, the Students’ Association ran the Winter Warmer Campaign to support students during this Cost of Living Crisis.The Winter Warmer ran for an hour each day from between October and December 2024 in Trimester A on the Glasgow and London Campus. 

 

 

Each Monday to Friday, GCU students could get either a cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate along with a porridge pot for free from the Students' Association. On the Glasgow Campus there were 997 visits from 209 individual students and on the London Campus there were 558 visits from 122 students.

These are the demographics of the Glasgow Campus for the Winter Warmer:

• 56% were Female, 43% Male and 1% Other
• 81% were international students and 19% were UK students
• 70% taught postgraduate, 28% undergraduate and 2% postgraduate research students
• 99% were full time and 1% were part time students
• 43% were from SHLS, 37% were from GSBS and 20% were from SCEBE
