Student Case Study - Monica Allen, The EDIT

Friday 23-08-2019 - 14:12

Monica Allen, BA (Hons) Social Sciences

How did you first get involved?

The previous Fashion Editor posted in the Freshers group about looking for new recruits and i took the chance and put myself forward for it. I have been a volunteer of the EDIT for the past year and now become Fashion Editor and Deputy Editor.

Why did you decide to get involved?

I decided to get involved because I wanted to get more involved in things when I started GCU. I loved everything Fashion and Beauty and writing, so it seemed like a perfect thing for me to participate in.

What difference has it made to your university experience being involved?

I have met so many people through volunteering for The EDIT, some even have became best friends. I have been introduced to so many different people and different groups within GCU. It's made me a much more social and vocal person and I believe it has improved me as a person for the better.
