Congraulations to our newly elected London Officer for the 24-25 acadmeic year.... Imtiyaz Ali Mohammad!

Thank you to everyone who ran in the elections, you all worked very hard and gained some incredibly valuable skills along the way.

Well done to Imtiyaz (and their campaign team!), whose hard work and dedication throughout the campaigning period has resulted in an excellent win. Keep an eye out for updates on Imtiyaz's work as they progress their aims to:

  • Resolve the attendance issue in coordination with GCU IT department. This semester, every student is facing issues with online attendance due to the newly launched attendance SEAtS program
  • Encouraging university to build relationship with MNC companies, Industries and GCU alumni for on campus and off campus job placements
  • Students should have a job assessment period at least once a week to develop skills, work styles, knowledge, and personal development to succeed in job interviews after their master’s programs
  • The university should encourage and assist students and staff in participating in world-renowned events, platforms, and conclaves to perform and engage
  • We aim to create a dedicated blog on the university website for GCU alumni, fostering relationships that will benefit students, staff, and the university in the future
  • We are committed to making efforts to gain recreational sports club access for students with a student ID to promote physical fitness

We also encourage you to engage with Imtiyaz and student voice throughout the year, and you can do this by becoming a Class Rep (speak to your lecturers). This will enable you make change and enhance your experience by working in collaboration with the university.

You can also submit an idea for change at our website here: www.gcustudents.co.uk/thestudentvoice
