What does it really mean to be a student in 2026?
For many, it’s not just one challenge, it’s everything, all at once. From financial pressures and academic demands to wellbeing and uncertainty about the future, the student experience has become increasingly complex. It’s time to move beyond surface level conversations and take a closer, more honest look at what students are facing today.
That’s why we’re inviting you to a special documentary premiere and sector wide discussion that brings together voices from across Scotland.
Following a year of lobbying, policy work, and advocacy, the Student President presents Not Your Student, a powerful documentary featuring students, staff, and sector professionals. The film explores the realities of student life today, going beyond statistics and metrics to uncover the lived experiences behind the data.
This is more than a film. It’s a platform for voices that are too often overlooked.
