This information was provided by the University.
During the bank holiday weekend of 26th to 28th May 2018, power across the Glasgow campus will be shut down as the University is required to carry out high-voltage testing. During the weekend, access to the campus will be restricted and there will be some disruption to IT-related services.

Building Opening Times
- The Students’ Association Building, including the 24 Hour Computer Lab, will close on Sunday 27th May 2018 at 6am and re-open on Monday 28th at 6am You can use the Saltire Centre on Sunday 27th May from 9am to 6pm.
- The ARC Health and Wellbeing: open Saturday, May 26 and closed Sunday and Monday, May 27 and 28.
- The Saltire: closed Saturday, May 26, open Sunday, May 27 and closed Monday, May 28.
Availability of IT Services
Due to the nature of the electrical works taking place, all IT services should be regarded as at risk throughout the shutdown period.
Saturday, May 26
- Core IT services will be available, these include: internet access on campus, domain authentication/single sign on, IP telephony, staff email, staff OneDrive, student email, GCULearn, My Service, GCU main web site(s), EdShare and VPN access
- All other IT services will not be available, these include: SAN (staff and student file shares), ISIS, Oracle HR/Finance, Application Jukebox, Celcat, SAEM, efile, Appointments System, GCYou Portal, ALRS, T4 Web Content Management, SharePoint sites (including the Caledonian Connected Intranet), password reset service (web based), print services, backup services, WiFi Guest, WiFi in Ground Floor and First Floor of the George Moore building, Ground Floor of the Hamish Wood building and Caledonian Court (common areas).
Sunday, May 27
- Normal IT services will be operational, except Caledonian Court internet access which will be unavailable during the Charles Oakley shutdown.
Monday, May 28
- Normal IT services will be operational.
