I have heard a lot of students complain about the fact that they are finding it difficult to get jobs—both part-time jobs while they are still students, as well as full-time employment after graduating. I have attributed this issue to the fact that lots of students are yet to discover the opportunities and resources available to them through the University and Students' Association.
The Students' Association works with GCU Careers Service to organise and promote events that benefit students in terms of CV-writing, interview support, empowerment, and leadership.
We will therefore be hosting a brief live session, open to all GCU students, aimed at providing insight into the GCU Careers Service and how it can benefit students' employability.
The event will be live on Collaborate Ultra at 1:30pm on Friday 8 October, and will be hosted by Head of Careers Katrina Forbes and me.
