Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Award achieved

Thursday 01-08-2019 - 14:03

The Students' Association received the Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Award (HBHM) award on 13th June 2019.

The 2018/19 academic year saw 21 institutions from across Scotland take part in the Healthy Body Healthy Mind awards. The HBHM awards are a partnership initiative between NUS Scotland and Scottish Student Sport, funded by the Scottish Government, which focus on the link between sports, physical activity, smoking prevention and mental health.

Moses Apiliga, Vice President GSBS and policy lead for Sports said "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the HBHM award. This was a Full Time Officer Team Objective that involved the whole organisation working together to provide information and events to our members on having a positive physical and mental health".

The Students' Association encourages all students to participate in our campaigning and events, including joining our sports clubs, societies, volunteering and our Student Leaders Programme, that offers Mental Health First Aid Training.
