Congratulations to GCU students Ava Robertson (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) and Robbie Waddell (LLB Hons Bachelor of Laws) for competing for GCU at the BUCS Regatta. The event took place at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham from the 2^nd to the 5^th May 2025 and had over 2,500 student athletes competing.

 

Robbie and Ava came 20th in Open 2x in a field of 60 men’s doubles. Robbie came 18th in the Open Intermediate 1x out of 84 other competitors and Ava won silver in Champ Lightweight 1x.

 

GCU were the second Scottish and 17th overall team in the Victor Ludorum Trophy. The only Scottish team to beat GCU was Edinburgh Uni.
