In a previous article (which you can find here) I addressed the financial, educational and health impacts that restricted access to sanitary products may have, and why it is essential that products are made FREELY available to everyone at GCU.

As some of you may know I’ve been working since coming into office in June to have policy introduced which will make sanitary products freely available to any student or staff member across the GCU Glasgow Campus. I’m pleased to announce a #CAMPAIGNWIN that I’ve successfully achieved this objective.

 

During March and April, 2018, the Students’ Association in partnership with the university will be offering free sanitary products to all students and staff in a sector leading pilot.

 

This will occur in two stages;

 

1. During March, there will be a series of distribution points and stalls around campus to make the products available to any who need this.

2. For April the initiative will move to collection points from the Advice Centre in the Students’ Association, and the Wellbeing Service in the University.

 

 

More information will be released when students’ return in T2. But for now, I hope everyone has a great festive break, and good luck to anyone with exams in the new year.
