We're delighted to share the exciting news that GCU Students' Association has achieved "Excellence" in the Green Impact accreditation scheme. This noteworthy accomplishment highlights your Association's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. By receiving this recognition, we have demonstrated our dedication to making a positive impact on our campus and beyond. Moreover, this is the 4th year in a row that we have achieved this!
Led by our dedicated Ethical and Environmental Officer and encompassing work from the Full Time Officers and students supported by the SA to campaign for sustainability, we collaborate and campaign for the university to drive change for a better tomorrow. This year, to name just a few achievements, we supported the university in its Fairtrade Accreditation and ran Carbon Literacy Training open to all GCU students. We advocated for creating an on-campus community fridge and for the university to fully divest from fossil fuels. With our comprehensive approach encompassing campaigns, resource allocation, policy advocacy, and community engagement, we are leading the charge towards a greener and more sustainable future at GCU.
All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.
This membership is free for current GCU students.
