On 16th April, between 3:30–5:30PM, GCU and GCU Students' Association collaborated to host our first Spring Fusion Festival on campus!

The event celebrated multiple Spring festivals from around the world, including Holi (Festival of Colours), Eid, Nowruz (Persian New Year), and Easter. Students were treated to a selection of South Asian cakes, sweets, and pastries, as well as a variety of sweet and savoury snacks and drinks.

In addition to the tasty treats, GCU London and the Students' Association Volunteer Team organised a range of seasonal activities for students to enjoy. Our amazing volunteers ran a henna and mehndi stand to celebrate Eid, and also hosted a small rangoli stall, where students could create their own colourful designs. To honour Nowruz, students had the chance to add their wishes for the 'new year' to a wish tree, sharing hopes for friends and family around the world. Lastly, everyone had lots of fun participating in Easter egg painting and decoration — some fantastic designs were created on the day!

A huge thanks goes to our wonderful volunteer team, who willingly and quickly decorated the Learning Café so beautifully, as well as running all the activity stalls! An additional thank you to GCU London, and especially to Sheikh Tanzid, for being such a fantastic event partner during the planning and execution of the festival.
