The Social Work Society would like to invite you to join us for a screening of Behind the Wire - a short documentary about the Dungavel House Removal Center where people waiting to be deported by home office are held for indefinete periods of time.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion made up of the director of the documentary Liam O'Hare, Natalia Farmer - gcu lecturer with interest in immigration and asylum and Kate Alexander from the Scottish Detainee Visitors.
We will also hear from someone who was held in the facility about their experiences.
