A weekend trip to... Somewhere.

 

You will be required to have full membership to the club to attend and purchase a ticket for this trip. Details for purchase of tickets through this page will be published in due course, so keep a look out on our Instagram page for updates. It is recommend to purchase a ticket as early as possible as weekend meets tend to sell out fast.

 

We will be making the journey up to somewhere on the Friday afternoon and will likely have staggered leave times for the transport, this will be discussed in the pre-trip meeting.

 

Activities

As the location is classified we will plan hiking activities for the group, otherwise it'll give away the mystery! Plans will be shared and discussed on arrival at the accommodation.

 

Accommodation 

We are staying at... a place... somewhere... did you really think I'd tell you, so bring your own sleeping mat and bag. As always if you are unsure please contact the committee, we will be covering things in the pre-trip meeting.

 

Facilities include:

- Somewhere to sleep

- Fully equiped kitchen

- Shower Room

- Toilet facilities

 

We will need to clean the accommodation before we leave and we expect everyone to help with this, and in usual GCUMC fashion we aim to leave the place cleaner than we found it.

 

What to bring

This trip will require non-winter orientated gear, but please remember to bring a warm layer still. If you're unsure on what to bring please contact us.

We will be sleeping in the accommodation for 2 nights, you will be required to have a sleeping bag and sleeping mat (we also have a limited amount to use if you do not have these, and you MUST bring your own sleeping bag liner) along with your day sack for the trip, prepare for 2 days worth of mountain activity. It is also important that you bring something to eat in the evening.

 

If you wish to loan any club equipment for the trip, please contact the Gear Secretary (Equipment will be loaned out on a first ask, first serve basis).

 

Pre-Trip Meeting

Time: 7pm

Where: MS Teams

 

There will be 1 clue revealed in this meeting!

 

The pre-trip meeting is there to discuss the trip and ask any questions. You will receive an invite via e-mail closer to the date.

 

Ticket

Price: £60

 

Tickets are on sale from 21st October @ 7pm to 3rd November @ 7pm

 

The ticket cost includes: Accomodation and transport.
