Hike - Beinn a' Chochuill & Beinn Eunaich

SOLD OUT

You will be required to have full membership to the club to attend and purchase a ticket for this trip.

We will be summiting 2 Munros on this hike, Beinn a' Chochuill & Beinn Eunaich which sit just Northeast of Loch Awe.

Please see the advised kit list. We are also dipping into winter, meaning you should bring extra warm layers and a headtorch is also required should visibility be reduced.

As per, you will be required to have a minimum of: hiking boots (that cover/protect the ankles) and waterproofs, and preferably clothing that is not made of cotton, and no jeans for safety reasons. A headtorch is also a necessity. If you are unsure please contact the club, as you will not be permitted on the trip without meeting the above requirements.

Transport

We will be travelling by van which will be arranged by the club.

Outward Journey: Meet outside the Student Union at 6:50am, we will be departing by 7:00am (please arrive promptly so we can leave promptly).

Return Journey: We anticipate arriving back in Glasgow for the evening (between 6pm and 8pm).

The Route

We will be following this route: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/argyll/beinn-eunaich.shtml

Background info on the mountains: These two Munros offer a good mountain day, with great views of Glen Etive and Ben Cruachan. The ridge between the two is pleasant with no difficulties although the final descent from Beinn Eunaich is unpleasantly steep.
