Hello Society Members,

 

We would like to invite you to a very special event that is exclusively for Risk and Finance Society members. Our newly reinstated Trading Club is organising its first practice session. It will take place on the 15^th of February @4pm in the GCU campus room W108.

 

The tickets will go live on Wednesday 8th February @5pm. Our first session at Bloomberg terminal is free, however, please note that future sessions will incur a small fee of £2.50.

 

This room is not an average computer lab. University invested vast financial resources and signed a contract with Bloomberg providing 20 fully professional data collection and trading stations!!!

This is a massive development and opportunity for the students as this is the first operation of this size in any Scottish university.

Our first event will be taken by one of our lecturers, Paul Gallacher, who is a former institutional derivatives trader and money manager. He possesses vast knowledge and experience within financial markets and is willing to share it with us.

Topics covered will range from Bloomberg Terminal introduction and basics, data collection and analysis.

 

We aim to deliver professional tools, strategies, and education to all participants and that`s just the beginning!!

Further events with guest speakers and regular practice sessions will be announced soon.
